    Sports Scandal at Syracuse

So, has anybody been following this?

First, the whole things still seems fishy. I am not sure if Fine is a pedophile. So far you have two stepbrothers and a pedophile who have come forward. I believe the third guy is probably lying since his father has said he had never been to Pittsburgh or knew Fine. The step-brothers, I am not sure about. They may be telling the truth. Of course, it doesn't look like they could prosecute him because of the statue of limitations, but he got fired. As for Jim Boehiem, I don't think he knew. This is very different than the Penn State case. Paterno was told about an incident and turned it over to the higher ups and it was covered up. Syracuse investigated the charges (along with the Police) and couldn't find any proof. So, Boehiem is clear of any fault. I think he won't lose his job over it.

I do think this whole case makes ESPN look extremely hypocritical, since they had an audio tape where the wife of the accused basically admits to a lot of disturbing crap, and didn't go to the authorities for eight years.

ESPN was also the entity most responsible for whipping the Penn State scandal into a frenzy, saying Paterno should have done more, when the DA involved with the case praised him as a truthful witness.

    And ESPN couldn't have?

I think I heard ESPN and someone else (another paper) held on to the recording, and Syracuse and the police didn't even know it existed. They should have released it when they first got it. I do agree they look very hypocritical considering the statements they had made.

I refuse to believe that the company that pays Craig James to exist as a sentient piece of feces, and refused to report on the Ben Roethlisthuburghlhjlh rape-a-thon is anything less than a paragon of upstanding moral fortitude.
