Vic was happy to see Suri relaxed in Tsita's presence as well as her own. Her crew was a band of miscreants by many standards; but they were a family. Tainarians were loyal to the core and if they took someone under their wing, they would treat them as one of their own. She had sent a quick message to her cousin to let him know of her detour on the way back. She rarely provided such extra explanations; but she knew that he valued his ties to the Alliance and the Jedi, so she considered it important to mention her detour by Ossus. She hadn't mentioned Suri's name though, for it wasn't necessary and she wanted to make sure that the girl would be alright on Ossus before she would leave her there. Her people were fairly lax regarding Force users, whether light or not, but she wanted to make sure that her guest would reunite with her sister before she left her in the Jedi's care. She trusted Suri to take care of herself well enough for what she had witnessed, but Vic had her own code of honor as well.

"Please just call me Vic, otherwise I know a couple of brats who're going to call me ma'am for shits and giggles,"
she reacted with humor in her voice and a grin on her lips.

"Glad you're all set up. That sounds like a lovely offer, and you can sign us all up if you don't mind putting up with our bunch. We're always looking to learn new skills. This is kind of you."

She knew that the teenager was willing to earn her keep as she had put it, which was one reasons she had earned the corsair's respect.

"It's going to take us a few days to reach Ossus. We should only need one quick refuel pit stop depending on how things go. We're about to take off, so I'd suggest you hold tight as there's a bout of bad weather coming our way. Once we hit hyperspace we can all chill for a while."

For the first time in forever, Suri found herself with things she never thought she'd ever have. Hope. Belonging. These were things she'd not experienced in a long time. In fact, she'd almost forgotten the emotional significance of those feelings. She felt her heart quicken in excitement and as the power was restored to the ship, Suri was surprised to find that her Force Sight reacted to the energy of the ship, lighting up everything around her. Her eyes widened and a broad smile pulled on her face. She could see her surroundings for the first time without echolocation to get a small picture of her environment. It was fascinating and she couldn't help but feel giddy at these overwhelming changes to her life. Finding out she could see inside the ship once it was powered made her curious about whether she could see Rishi from space. She was surprised to find that, when she looked out of an observation window, she actually was able to see the outline of Rishi in the Force. It was amazing and beautiful all at once.

When the ship went into hyperdrive, Suri wasted no time in teaching Tsita, Vic and any other crew members willing to learn some skills such as echolocation to help them should the ship lose power, making it as fun as possible for all to learn. They in turn taught her some new fighting techniques showed her what upgrades she could do with her own weapons and provided some additional upgrades to theirs. All the while as she interacted with Vic and her crew, Suri mused over where her life would take her. When she reunited with her sister, where would life take her next? Knowing Serah was on Ossus, would Suri follow her down the path of a Jedi? Would she follow get own path elsewhere? Maybe stay with Vic and her crew? The next few days, weeks and months would change everything for the blind girl, but only time would tell if it was for the best.
