Character Background
To be born on Level 1313 was, by many of its residents, viewed as a curse. Nestor himself, however, viewed it as a blessing in disguise. He did not remember his parents; instead, his earliest memories were of a dilapidated orphanage. What followed could scarcely be called a childhood. Such a brutal existence claimed many young lives through a multitude of equally unpleasant causes, but not Nestor's. He was exceptional, both in intelligence and cunning, and was uncharacteristically lethal with a blade for one so young. This combination was perfectly suited to life on 1313, allowing him to not just survive, but thrive. By his early teens, Nestor had found his way into the service of an emerging new crime family. While his contributions to their enterprise were more than they could have ever dreamed of, Nestor maintains that he profited from the arrangement far more. They had given him access to an education and the freedom and finances to take advantage of it. Shortly after his twenty-first birthday, his employers 'disappeared'; their underlings scattering or being consumed in the infighting that followed. Nestor quickly destroyed any record of his existence and slipped away unnoticed, vanishing into the darkened, polluted streets with most of his employers fortune. By the time the fires had subsided, there was no-one left to suspect him.

At some point in the past five years, Nestor became acquainted with the individual known as Cypher. More recently, he has established a new base of operations for his dealings, a nightclub named La Maschera, or "The Mask" in Galactic Basic. With masks being compulsory attire upon entry to the venue, it allows him, Cypher and their comrades freedom to meet in public without giving away their identities. The club's security also does an excellent job of preventing weapons from entering, meaning La Maschera is a rare sanctuary.

Raw Materials

• Soft-spoken, polite and highly intelligent but beneath the surface something deadly lurks within Nestor. Only rarely does he let this vicious side run loose, enjoying a high level of sadistic satisfaction when he does so.
• With an exceptionally high IQ, Nestor is, statistically, a genius. His thirst for knowledge is insatiable. He finds particular enjoyment in the sciences, conducting experiments whenever he finds a comes across new field that catches his interest. So far his intellectual pursuits have lead him to experience in chemistry, pharmacology, biology, cybernetics, philosophy and psychology.

Plot Ideas

• Nestor is Force Sensitive, but at this stage it extends only to advanced empathy and limited telepathy, learned through experience and experimentation rather than traditional training.
• La Maschera, in it's original incarnation elsewhere, provided a combat-free place for characters of all factions to interact. Hopefully, once 1313 is secured, it can be so again.
