    Description:

Jeddesh (pronounced \ˈji-dish\) was a largely unsettled terrestrial jungle planet in the Jeddesh system of the Lewcus Sector in the Expansion Region. Located near a hyperspace route connected to the worlds Attahox and Gyndine, the world featured hot, humid but also comfortable atmosphere at times. The planet was covered by massive, tightly knit pine, redwoods, canopy forest but also housed areas of significant water resources beneath a surface. Native plant, fungal and animal life evolved to dominate the environment. The natives relations to the land caused Force energy to permeate the ecosystem. Clans of the native Emere developed high tech village societies built in the mountainsides and canopies, while others formed their communities in subterranean caverns.

    History:

Sometime before the rise and fall of the Rakata Empire, Emere emerged within the Expansion Region on Jeddesh. Largely undisturbed by the greater galaxy until the Expanionist Era, most of the immigrated fauna crashed or were released during this period of unrest. Corporate expansion was countered by the native's high-tech guerilla tactics and unusual abilities. While these attributes fended off the corporate expansion, it gathered attention.

During this era, a large influx of politically savvy slavers began trafficking the male population funded by upset corporate expansionist. A great period of isolation followed as the natives recoil into hidden villages and cloaking devices. Slavers were run off planet and the return of corporations were handled secretly & quietly.

Before the Great Sith War, nearly fifteen centuries later, there was nearly no sightings of the natives. In this period, there was a peace upon the land. Technologically advanced rapidly as the clans fortified a well established union or sprawled out hidden clans. Few traveled onto the planet during these periods. Businessmen weren't greeted kindly. Wayward travelers were welcomed but never spoke of the lost planet. The occasional crash would invigorate the land with newcomers. Small settlements were allowed, and the natives were rarely sighted. When they were, most thought them a spirits of the forest.

Most of the small settlements, scholastic investigations, and archeological excavation projects which came along the planet were short-lived when the native's council saw to it as a danger to their isolation. Appliances would break. Tech would be hacked. Communications were destroyed. It was assumed the atmosphere pressures made the planet nearly uninhabitable. Only after a liaison was sent by the natives to the Jedi was there any noted knowledge of the planet's inhabitants. And, even then, it was kept secret to only the Grand Master until the Clone War.

After the Galactic Empire was formed, all offworld natives were "quarantine" from coming back so keep the planet secret. When the Rebel Alliance freed the nearby worlds, the quarantine was lifted and the returning natives advised support of the Alliance of Free Planets. Since, the natives have helped the Alliance and assisted in establishing bases of operations for Rebel forces. However, their villages are still hidden from the new settlers.
