Information A United Corellia Is A Strong Corellia!

One of the most important and influential worlds in the Core, Corellia is an important hub for commerce and trade across the Galactic Empire. In recent months however, a dissident Resistance group has begun to antagonise the Imperial government there, through acts of terror and aggression. After a Star Destroyer was deliberately crashed into Coronet City, turning parts of the capital into a wasteland, Corellia has been placed under a blockade, with Imperial military forces helping to enforce the peace.

    The Blockade
On the orders of Moff Delgado Xaanan, the Corellian system has been placed under a blockade, to starve the Resistance of any external support they might be receiving. Travel between the Five Brothers is restricted, and any ship travelling directly to Corellia is subject to intense scrutiny and inspection by Imperial forces. Many cargo shipments are diverted to other worlds in the Sector, such as Duro, Nubia, and New Plympto, so that they can be transported to Corellia aboard secure, Imperial-sanctioned cargo ships.

If you have any questions about this aspect of the Corellia setting, PM Delgado Xaanan or Matatek Sel Vissica.

    The Resistance
Though started by former Rebel Alliance soldiers in protest of the peace treaty between the Alliance and Empire, the Resistance has become a collection of people from all walks of life fighting for a free Corellia. For some it is a matter of principle and politics; for others, it's simply a matter of continuing the fight with the Empire because they don't know what else to do with their lives. The Resistance often resorts to tactics that even the Alliance would have thought of as "unsavoury", leading the Empire to brand them as terrorists. The Resistance is also (secretly) receiving support from the Alliance, via a smuggling agreement with Black Sun.

If you have any questions about this aspect of the Corellia setting, PM Soto Terius or Karin DeLumiar.

    The Underworld
In addition to the militant activity of the Resistance, various criminal enterprises seek to capitalise on Corellia's turmoil. The local Corellian militia as well as other gangs fight over loot and territory in and around The Zone - the area where the Star Destroyer fell - while Black Sun, working out of the Eldest Brother casino, is hard at work establishing an infrastructure to smuggle it's supplies and product past the blockade. Meanwhile, CorSec and the ISB work tirelessly to quash all these criminal efforts.

If you have any questions about the criminal side of Corellia, PM Garrick Kane or Andana Callax.
If you have any questions about law enforcement, PM Cassus Wain or Ethan Tahmores.
