Character Background

• Dick is the adopted son of Bruce Wayne, and was the first Robin.
• When he outgrew his role as Batman's sidekick, Dick struck out on his own as the vigilante Nightwing.
• He has since worked with a number of other vigilantes, both super-powered and otherwise.

Raw Material

• Dick worked in the past for the GCPD, but when his double-life as Nightwing compromised he was forced to retreat from public life and consequently left Gotham for a number of years.
• Although he currently works for Checkmate, he reports his activities and other intel gathered through Checkmate operations to Batman whenever possible.

Existing Relationships

• Bruce Wayne - his adopted father and mentor, Bruce is a big part of Dick's life - although they haven't always seen eye to eye, they are family
• Jason Todd - his successor as Robin, Dick has a strained relationship with Jason... he feels a sense of duty towards Jason and would give anything to see him reformed and stable again
• Barbara Gordon - an old friend, there's no one Dick trusts more
