BARBARA GORDON
19 :: American?not sure what to put here tbh :: Librarian/Blogger
Currently in: Gotham City
Character Background
- Niece of Jim Gordon, adopted by him and his wife when her mother (his sister) became too much of a drug addict to take care of her.
- She went to Metropolis U for a year, but returned to Gotham and is taking the next year off of college to pursue other interests. Namely, investigative blogging under the alias ORACLE
Raw Material
- She's probably too spunky for her own good
- She knows taekwando and is well versed in self defense, thanks to her uncle insisting she learn how to defend herself
- She can be fairly awkward in social situations, and hates being in the limelight
- Right now she's pretty lonely, with no close friends in Gotham
Plot Ideas
- Barbara works in the Library as a librarian, often taking the evening shift and walking home/to the bus. All sorts of things could happen!
- At the library she could run into the slightly younger set of heroes, who may be doing school work.
- She's very connected to the police, and knows a lot of the officers, so if you play one (even one with a secret identity!) you can be forced into protecting her if her uncle is feeling especially concerned about his family's safety, or about things she may be getting herself into. Previously Dick/Rick Grayson was played as a former GPD officer who had left town and then come back as Nightwing, and she and he hit it off because they had sort of known each other previously (though she was underage then). I thought it was an interesting relationship and was sad that it never got a chance to get off the ground, and I'd jump at the chance for something like that again.
Existing Relationships
- Jim Gordon, Commissioner - Uncle and adoptive parent along with his wife, the other Barbara Gordon
- Connor Kent - former Crows gang member, now a sort of partner in her burgeoning career in crime fighting

Current Plots
- facing off with a tiger in an alley
- Having celebratory coffee with Connor after working with him to help take down the leadership of the Crows
