A Hunting We Will Go [open]

Even when compared with the Baffor forests of Koros Major and the rolling hills of Kirrek, Onderon was vast. Salem stood at the cities edge, looking out across the ominous landscape. There were signs posted at various intervals on the way to this point, warning citizens that proceeding any further would lead to almost certain death. Salem was never one to back down from a challenge. He had strapped on his saber, pulled on his cloak and marched right to the city walls, scaling them with ease before throwing himself down onto the hard turf on the other side. Today, he had decided, he would hunt. He was not aware of the creatures that inhabited the lands ahead, but he was sure he would run into one eventually…

Razielle was just about ready for anything. She was involved with a group she felt proud to cast her lot with, she had found a Master depraved and beautiful as herself and.. she had Salem. When things in life fell into place this grandly, it was usually those times that it was all ripped away from you. Well this time, it wasn't being taken away from her. Not without a very nasty fight.

The Virgin Ego had been savaged by unholy killers. That was the thought chasing quickly through the minds of the few people haunting the city streets. Razielle and Gav travelled farther away from the scene. To what destination? It was only known to the Sith Master himself. But wherever they were headed it was getting further and further from the area around the palace..

It appeared they were coming upon the city gates. At their approach, they were opened. Whether by recognizing Gav, or by most mystical means, Razielle was unclear. "To the Wilds, Gav...?"

"Yes. Into the wilds, my dear, for that is where we truly belong; with the rest of the animals and we shall be the most terrible and beautiful of all beasts."

He was no vampire but the Sith felt strangely comfortable and at ease with himself in the company of his newfound interest; the desirable and highly unavailable Darkside mistress. In the heart of a jungle, urban or otherwise, he would relish her presense and lavish the immortal Razielle with all the forbidden teachings he would care to disclose. She was the object of his affection now and most satisfying of all, he was her master.

"I've taken my other two apprentices training here; they coped fairly well with the challenges awaiting us in the unending sea of green however they had the comfort of training in the day whereas we will have the pleasure of the night."

The great gates closed behind them and the two Darksiders now stood facing the thick underbrush leading into the dangerous wilds. Gav was about to procede, arm in arm with his student when his attention was suddenly diverted and he glanced around.

"Can you sense anything, my dear?"

The sound of the great gates swinging open was one hard to ignore. His footfalls becoming silent, Salem turned from the inky black ahead to look back towards the city proper. He didn’t need to look to know who was stood there of course. He could feel Razielle from a mile off. The other figure, however, was a mystery to him. The pair had stopped too, and appeared to be looking directly back towards Salem, who shrunk away from any unnatural light that might betray his presence, creeping instead behind an overturned tree.

He peered over the top of the decaying mass, wondering what it was that his sire was doing out here with that unfamiliar figure at such a time. Perhaps she intended to feast on him. Yes, that seemed plausible. She would lead him into the wilds until he was so lost and so tired that he couldn’t possibly escape, then break his neck in two.

Terrible and beautiful they were. Razielle was beginning to think she rather liked Onderon. Anything this untamed and wild suited her and her voracious appetites. So Gav had brought his other apprentices here? She wondered how she would fair in comparrison to them. In truth she would like to meet them. If they were mentored by Master Mortis surely they must be exquisite, she didn't think he would accept less.

At the same instant Gav voiced the words, Razielle did sense something. Salem.. Her first reaction was a sly grin, but it was quickly dashed when she realized the picture she must present. Salem was quick to heat and his Sire walking arm in arm with a Sith Master likely would set him to simmer. In truth, if you looked at Razielle and Gav together it was almost too perfect. Rather like an artists romantic rendering of beauty. Of course it was all an illusion. Razielle was completely enraptured with her fledgling. Cultured and beautiful as her new Master was, it wouldn't sway her heart.

But Salem didn't known she had gone out this night to seek a Master..

"I do believe we have come upon the very person you mentioned wanting to meet." Razielle's eye's narrowed to slits trying to place where he lurked, but Salem was quite good at not being found, even by her, when he chose.

Salem, I know you're there.. Come and meet Master Mortis of the Circle. She spoke only to him, hoping he wouldn't be too prickly.

Now there was a familiar name. Had it been Cloak who had mentioned a Mortis previously? Salem wasn’t quite sure, but he knew he had heard the name before. This at least explained why Razielle was out walking with him. She was his apprentice and would indulge his whims because it was her duty to do so. Salem almost smirked. He rose to stand from behind the deadwood and began to pace towards the pair. Even from a distance, Mortis seemed to exude a kind of swaggering condescension, as though sneering at the very ground he walked upon. No longer stooped, the Sith Knight stood to his full height as he stopped a short distance from Master and Apprentice.

“I hope you haven’t come out herrre to talk. You’ll sss-care away the beastsss.”

Forthright as ever, Salem had a knack for going straight for the jugular in all respects.
