Tie Interceptor
Picked it up at TRU yesterday. Unlike the B-Wing packaging, this ship can't be seen in all its glory without taking it out of the packaging. The wings are a nice improvement over the vintage stickers. But damn if my tie pilot doesn't have the wobbliest head of any SW figure yet made. Oh well, the ship makes up for it. $30 is pretty steep for a ship with no electronics that was partly made with vintage molds but this hobby isn't cheap, just fun.
I got a Emperor's Wrath Vader last night, pretty nice, and I have the Interceptor on order, should show up this week.
I picked up Shmi and Jedi Training Obi-Wan earlier this week. I still haven't found the Vader wave. We won't be seeing the Tie Bomber or Snowspeeder this year. They've been pushed back until 2002. I'm not sure why Hasbro would push them that far back. You'd think they'd want X-Mas to help push both of these.
"Dad, you killed the zombie Flanders!" "He was a zombie?"
I'd have to say it's probably cause all of the sudden getting stuff shipped here from China is a lot harder.
My interceptor arrived today, and as best I can see it from my Sansweet's SW Action Figure Archive book, it really is the vintage mold with a nice paint job. The tabs you refer to, are they the ones in the back?
Yep, they're these little clear plastic tabs that prevent the Interceptor from standing with its wing tips straight up in the air. I've got a vintage Interceptor also and some of the molds are definitely the same. But the new wing detail is a great improvement. I also picked up your little R2 ornament last weekend. I got the Mystery Machine for my 3 year old. There goes $30 bucks on two items that will only see the light of day during the holiday season! Actually, I'll probably keep R2 on a shelf next to my Vader and Yoda ornaments.
enh, it's not so important to me that the thing go into the wrong position, so I'll leave it as is.
On the Artoo, if you twist it long enough, the pin comes out, and the Artoo is then okay to display with the Hasbro figures.

3 Day SW Celebration 2 Pass & lambent
Ordered the teaser poster this afternoon. I'm sooooo weak!
Ack! I played the game last nite and it is called Star Wars: Dark Forces. e.e;
I made myself an 8.5 x 11" teaser poster out of the JPG on the official site. That doesn't count though, does it?
Not only does it count, but you could probably put it up on ebay and find someone out there who'd buy it from you.
And then have uncle George sue my pants off!
