[Kickstarter] Wasteland 2 (aka. sequel to Fallout's grandaddy)

Publisher: "Sounds like a derivative of Fallout."
Brian: "Actually it was the other way around. We wanted to make a Wasteland 2 but we didn't have the rights, so we made Fallout instead"
Publisher: "You made Fallout 3? I loved that game."
Brian: "No ... we made Fallout 1 & 2."
Publisher: "There was a Fallout 1 & 2?"

For Wasteland 2, we’re getting the band back together again!. Brian Fargo who Executive Produced both Wasteland and Fallout will be heading the team. Alan Pavlish and Mike Stackpole—the original game’s primary designers—are coming back to put the project together, and we’re rounding up as many of the other designers, like Ken St. Andre, as we can. On top of that, we’ll have music by Mark Morgan of Fallout 1 and 2 fame. The storyline for Wasteland 2 was written by Jason Anderson who was the co-creator of Fallout. We have also enlisted the help of the amazing concept artist, Andree Wallin to help craft the Wasteland 2 world.

It only took 2 days, but the 'Wasteland 2 project' has already broken it's goal ($900,000 - one of the largest ever baseline goals ever submitted to Kickstarter) and has over $1M. And there's still 32 days left.

33 hours to go, currently at $2,627,030 via Kickstarter pledges, plus the $80,911 they've had via Paypal. That's a total development budget of $2,707,941 through fan donations. Plus whatever any big players in the games industry (hopefully) decide to pour into it.

And I just decided to double my pledge up to $30

Digital soundtrack and concept art book, plus 2 copies of them game! Yay!
