    Power: Jackson is able to sense the psychic imprint left on objects and areas by powerful or intense emotion. Older imprints are only vague emotions, but with fresher imprints he experiences flashes of thought and image as well: enough to discern the cause of the emotion, but not to identify who it is specifically directed at. He can only sense the imprint on inanimate objects: he cannot read emotions from people.
    Current Situation: John Jackson is an NYPD Detective, and was one of the founding members of the Mutant Crimes Unit in New York. Following the formation of a Los Angeles MCU division, he is "on loan" to the LAPD in the spirit of support and cooperation between the two organizations, providing the LAPD with access to the NYPD's records, case files, and crime labs.

    Andrew is capable of magnifying the kinetic energy in any inanimate object that he can physically touch. He can turn the smallest item into something akin to a sledgehammer. Lord knows what will happen if he charges up something large like a speeding car.

    His nickname comes from his affinity for projectile weapons. From turning a simple nerf-gun into miniature grenade launcher or small caliber hand gun into an anti-tank cannon. Good thing that he hasn't gotten his mitts on any heavy ordinance.

    Weaknesses: While his powers in certain circumstances make it seem as if has super-strength, Slug is just as frail as a human. Heck one slip on a patch of ice and he could crack his head open on the ground.


    Bio: Andrew, 'Andy' to his friends and 'Slug' to everyone else. He was a small-town Wisconsin kid, good grades in high school, star soccer player, and had a lot going for him. Of course genetics can come into play and all of a sudden you can find yourself nearly putting a soccer ball through an opposing player. Persecution forced him on the run and he managed to hold up with several different mutant covens; all the while honing his new abilities as an athlete would. But all those options he had before were long gone and his perspective on life changed a bit.

    Long-story short, Andrew found himself in LA along with a crew, both mutant and human outcasts, holding up in an old warehouse. After the fiasco of the Brotherhood, the X-Men, and other violent groups, his new family grew fed up.

    One of the group still had ties to the rest of the world and good chunk of change and several connections to her name. A small idea turned into a huge operation as their home went from a dingy warehouse to an alternative nightclub.

    The place was named The Haven and is widely considered to be neutral ground to all parties in the crazy genetic bickering and anyone, human or mutant, could find refuge there. Make no mistakes, if you step out of line in their territory the Havenites won't hold back from squashing you into paste.
