History: Tarrick grew up knowing that someday he would achieve greatness. He was the only son of the Planetary Governor of Garqi. He grew up believing in the “Destiny of the Empire” – a philosophy of military rule and that each creature had its place in the empire, but that humans were at the top of that command chain. As a son, he was haughty and proud, which led him to getting into fights with his schoolmates. After one particular afternoon, he was jumped back a group of alien kids. He lashed out at them with all his righteous anger. When the teacher finally broke it up, 3 of the aliens suffered severe injuries to their face and arms and most were bloodied in some way. Tarrick had a broken nose and a broken wrist, along with cuts and claw marks. From that time on, Tarrick’s parents sent him to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comImperial</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Prep School</st1:PlaceType> for Command on Garqi, the planet’s premier <ST1<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Imperial</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Training School</st1:PlaceType></ST1 to ready nobles for their role as Military Commanders. There, Tarrick formed several lasting friendships with other teens in the school. He also developed a reputation for being brash and jumping in any fight at the front of it. He hardly ever backed down and stood his ground on what he thought was right. It was here that he faced off against one of the other sons who’s family was a rival of his parents. While Tarrick didn’t harbor any bad will towards the boy, who’s name was Kyrken, the same couldn’t be said for Kyrken. It came to a head one day during a physical fitness competition. Kyrken was pitted against Tarrick in a friendly match that became bloody. Kyrken pinned Tarrick but instead of letting him up, pulled up on his arm, breaking his right arm. Tarrick spun away from Kyrken, his right arm hanging limp. As Kyrken advanced on him, Tarrick did a spin kick that caught Kyrken across the jaw. It shattered his jaw and Kyrken went down like a sack of bricks. But Tarrick didn’t stop there. Before the referees could step in, Tarrick reach down and broke both of Kyrken’s arms and bit a chunk of flesh out of Kyrken’s face, leaving a hole in his cheek. Both boys were separated, but Kyrken’s family moved to the other side of the planet. Thus the nickname of “Blood Fang” was given to Tarrick.

Upon graduation from the <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Imperial</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Prep School</st1:PlaceType>, Tarrick applied for the <ST1<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Imperial</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Military</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Academy</st1:PlaceType>. He was accepted and packed his belongings, bidding farewell to his parents. At the Academy were several of Tarrick’s friends, who had also been accepted. They formed a tight bond, but soon they all dispersed when they chose different career paths.

During his training at the Academy, Tarrick developed his tactical and strategic thinking. Days ran together as he spent more time in war games and planning than he did in bed. Soon, he stood with his graduating class, ready to receive their commendations. His parents were able to attend which pleased him immensely.

After graduation, Tarrick found himself transferred from ship to ship, assignment to assignment. Soon, he was advancing through the ranks at a quick pace – a testament to his skill and confidence. With the War with the Rebels, pirates and Warlords, it seemed there was enough battle for everyone to have their fill. As ships were destroyed and good commanders were killed, Tarrick and the other younger officers moved up. Soon, Tarrick was the Executive Officer of a Lancer Class Frigate, the “Windstorm”. It was assigned hit and fade missions on Pirate bases and rebel starfighter facilities and to flank other capital ships in battle. During the Battle at Sector 184-Alpha Niner, when the Windstorm and the ISD Mk I “Admonisher” were attacked by a full wing of Rebel X-Wing and Y-Wing Fighters and 2 Rebel Assault Frigates, Tarrick made a name for himself and built the reputation of being ruthless.

During the first minutes of the battle, the Windstorm was struck by a salvo of torpedoes. The shields held, but a console on the bridge exploded, sending shards of metal and glass through the face and neck of the CO, Captain Dillor. With the CO out of commission, Tarrick took control. He ordered the Windstorm out to the point position of the Admonisher. The fighters came in first, being faster. Tarrick ordered power to the engines to be put to the shields and the weapons. As the fighters came on, all 20 Quad Laser Cannons opened up on the Rebels. The X-Wings fared better than the Y-Wings. Only 6 X-Wings were taken out, but the Windstorm managed to tear apart the Y-Wings. None got past the Windstorm, speaking of their training and accuracy. By the time the X-Wings had circled around to deal with the Lancer, the 6 squadrons of the Admonisher had fallen on the X-Wings. With the Lancer still firing and a 3 to 1 odds against the TIEs, the X-Wings didn’t have a chance. They were chewed to pieces. As the two Rebel Assault Frigates entered the fray, Tarrick used the Quads to weaken the shields, while the Admonisher closed to pump ion cannons and turbolaser fire into the two ships. One exploded and the Rebels retreated. The Admonisher lost 8 TIE fighters while the Rebels lost all but 10 X-Wings and 1 Frigate.

The Captain of the Admonisher, Captain Sturm was surprised that an XO so young had the courage and skill to pull off such a tactic. He filed a letter of commendation for Lt. Commander Ragnus and then transferred him from the Windstorm to the Admonisher. He was given the “Star of Imperial Service”, awarded to those that who fought with bravery, skill and valor in battle and was promoted to Commander. Aboard the Admonisher, he was given the position of XO.

It was during the next 5 years that Captain Sturm mentored the young Tarrick in how to fight. Sturm’s cautious ways and patience tempered the brashness and impulsive attack style of the younger officer. Under Sturm, Tarrick learned a new way to fight; a way that would save the ship and crew from destruction. Tarrick continued under Captain Sturm’s tutelage until disaster struck. They were running a supply convoy out of the core when a warlord’s fleet pulled them out of hyperspace with an interdictor. The Warlord, who called himself Mighty Battlelord Alheim offered Captain Sturm a choice. The Admonisher could join his fleet and renounce the Empire, or they would be destroyed along with the convoy. For Sturm, it was no choice at all. He refused.

The battle was short, but bloody. Attacks from 2 different Star Destroyers targeted the bridge. Sturm was killed in the attack. Commander Tarrick managed to make it to the <ST1lace w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Secondary</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Bridge</st1:PlaceType></ST1lace> and take control. Earlier in his life, he would have fought to the end, but Sturm’s teaching had affected him. He issued orders to make for the interdictor. At full speed the Admonisher blazed in at the Interdictor. The other ship tried to shy away, and had to take its gravity well’s offline to get more power. Tarrick used that mistake to jump to hyperspace. He had saved the ship, but lost his Captain.

After reviewing the battleroms and the communiqués between the ships, the Military Council decided that Tarrick had done the correct thing. He was promoted to Captain and given command of the Admonisher. Once it was repaired, he would command the task force to hunt down Alheim.

It took 2 years and countless skirmishes and searches but finally Tarrick was able to avenge the death of his mentor. It was at the planet of Alturras VII in the Inner Rim where Alheim made his last stand. By now, he only commanded his ISD I “Marauder”, 2 <ST1<st1:City w:st="on">Victory</st1:City> <st1:State w:st="on">SD'</st1:State><st1:State w:st="on">s</st1:State> and 5 Dreadnaughts. Tarrick’s fleet consisted of the “Admonisher” now upgraded to a Mk II, 3 ISD Mk I’s and 2 Interdictors. He also requested 2 Lancer class Frigates to be assigned to the force.

As they arrived, the interdictors deployed behind the larger ships with the Lancers in front of them. They pinned Alheim in place. Only one side would survive. The tactic that Tarrick had come up with was one of attrition. They would destroy the smaller ships before handling the Marauder. The Dreadnaughts and Vics were pretty easy to handle, and after 20 minutes they were smoking wrecks. Tarrick’s own forces were dealt a blow when the ISD “Relentless” was crippled, her command tower was destroyed. To save the ship, Tarrick ordered it back to the interdictors and brought up the Lancers in its place.

Tarrick ordered no mercy and no quarter was given. The last part of the battle was Admonisher against Marauder, but the Admonisher was able to blast through the limited shielding of the Marauder. Towards the end, a message came out from Alheim himself, asking for a surrender, but Tarrick ignored it. He continued to blast the ship, until it exploded. As the Warlord died, Tarrick felt some of the grief in his heart disappear. He had avenged his mentor.

With that particular mission completed, Tarrick now turns his attention to the Rebels. Even after their defeat at Endor, they have managed to survive. It was time to stamp them out like the bugs they were.<O</O
