Description:

Another joint ventureship betweeen KDY and CEC, the Nebulon-B3 Escort Frigate was envisaged as a better escort frigate, with the primary hangar moved to the spar connecting the two halves together, overall size of the spar much expanded and widened. The old hangar has been reduced in size and re-designated a secondary hangar for shuttles and gunboats.

The armament and protection has been changed and slightly ramped up as well, but at a cost of overall speed.

An initial order of twenty had been placed one year and six months after Endor. The first batch of five were nearing completion when a flaw was found in number five, so only four will be avilable for the first transfer to Kuat.
