Character Background
- To satisfy debts, Joran was sold to Zeggo the Hutt at the age of 5 and has grown up working off those debts by any means possible
- Survival within the criminal underworld hinged entirely upon his skill as a pilot which thrust him into an active role as a smuggler/mercenary within the cartel
- No one is aware of his force sensitivity, not even Joran, who believes that certain traits (heightened reflexes and instincts) are natural to the human species
Raw Material
- Joran is a conflicted individual, moulded by a life of crime, he holds a lot of anger towards his parents and longs to escape the cartel's grip
- Working for one of the largest Hutt crime lords meant that Joran has had encounters with both Alliance and Imperial connections, to whom his force sensitivity may have been apparent
- Not knowing much about his family, there is a lot of space to plot other connections/plot points
- The assassination of Zeggo the Hutt has left the members of his cartel including Joran fending for themselves
Plot Ideas
- Maintaining his criminal activities would offer a chance to interact with most, if not all factions
- Long-term would see him join with the Jedi or Imperial Knights (dependent upon interactions with other characters)
- Can be utilised in any situation which might call for a hired pilot/mercenary
- If a character is required as a throwaway role in a plot etc, I'm more than happy to offer up my services
Existing Relationships
- Unaware of his family history or their current whereabouts/status, could open up a lot of plot possibilities
- Zeggo the Hutt - Owner of Joran Kor until his recent death
- 'Fritz' - battered astromech droid salvaged by Joran - his only personal relationship
Current Plots
- Continue working within the criminal underworld or pave a new course through interactions with other characters (depends on which faction needs more active members)
