Still keeping up with "Vikings". :)
Umbrella Academy
Klaus! :love
Just binge watched season 7 to Game of Thrones. :)
Starting the rewatch of X-Files season 3, for dissertation note-taking purposes.
Finally finished Lucifer season 3.
Is it May 8 for season 4 yet?
I binged Tribes of Europa, and I have to tell you all - WATCH THIS. It is so creative and it pulls you in to the world that arose after Black December. The actors and ac tresses are superb, and I'm so ready for season 2.
For silly dumb fun, Time Trap on Netflix is a fun little romp into time travel, historical conjecture, Ted The Caver, and enough sci-fi elements starting about 3/4's of the way through the film that it makes it fun. There's a bit of camp, and the story is engaging enough to keep you watching. Least, it kept me watching. It ended exactly how I wanted it to, but I'm also a big softy so... you know.
I watched Max Cloud and Max Reload and the Nether Blasters yesterday.
Max Cloud was decent, and it did give me minor nostalgia vibes since it takes place in the 90's and you could certainly tell it. In fact, the whole style of the movie and the acting itself even really mimicked the style from the late 80's and early 90's. John Hannah was in it as the baddie, and I have to admit the last battle was amusing.
Max Reload was actually more enjoyable, IMO. Kevin Smith as the gameshop owner was great. The whole callback to haunted game cartridges was great, and the humor was a lot more on point. Having Greg Grunberg as one of the mains I loved to death. Overall, I felt it was way better than Max Cloud.
So if you're in the market for bad movies, these are good contenders :)
One Piece, Ahsoka and looking for something else
We've been working through the last season of Disenchantment, and of course we're watching Ahsoka. We'll be starting One Piece probably Thursday evening. We finally finished Lost In Space, which we quite enjoyed, and plan to continue on with Another Life (I've already watched all of it, but I've been rewatching it with Charley). I personally have been working through The Blacklist which I've been enjoying.
One Piece is actually good. They may have figured out how to do anime live action, by listening to the creators. Who’d have thought?
We just watched the first episode of OP, and I'm already in love. I've never seen the anime (but I do plan to start in once we're done with the live action), but I've heard that it's best taken in through the arcs, since it's such an extensive anime.
Thing is, I had not either. That’s a great sign. Because, after I watched the first view episodes I was like I got to see the actual series because this is good. If a show/movie is good enough to get people into the source material, it’s really doing it’s job. Now I’m a One Piece fan
I think one of the things I like a lot, is how each version of the title is different and pertaining to the episode it precedes. Full disclosure, I know I watched at least the very first episode of the anime, but I was a few shades past a little tipsy since my Netflix says that I watched it, but I don't remember doing so, haha!
