A Gathering of Ebony Souls (Massacre)

Standing near his stationary freighter, the Dauntless, on the planet of Talasea, a thick and damp fog shrouding the view of a nearby city. Only a few lights and pinpoints of light clearly discernable in the distance.

Ogre stood awaiting the arrival of his apprentices. Some he had with previously, and some he had yet to even begin training, the time for them to all come together was at hand. He would pass on his knowledge and put them all up to a test to prove they had what was required to be followers of the darkness.

His senses alert and extended, Ogre calmly stood, knowing the message would reach them, and they would arrive, so that they could begin.

OOC: closed, at least until, Ogre's apprentices arrive and I get this underway. Thanks. =)

*The pink and blue hazy clouds of hyperspace swirled until they became lines, then dots of light in the black background. A planet, Talasea Snack guessed, hung in deepspace infront of Snack's X-wing.

The other day, he received a message and co-ordinates to meet his master. Must be another training exercise. Snack kept his face emotionless as he took controls of his ship and piloted into Tarasea's atmosphere. Sensing his Master's presence, the Sith Warrior flew until he saw Ogre's ship, The Dauntless. He landed next to the freighter. Snack gathered his belongings: his dual-bladed orange lightsaber and his teal single-bladed light saber. Jumping down from the hatch of his X-wing, he clipped the two sabers on his belt.

Swiftly pulling back his hood, he stepped to his Master's side, bowing his head in respect. No questions entered Snack's mind, for he knew that Ogre knew what he was doing.*

:: Only moments behind Snack, appears Phantom's YT-2400 known as The Hell Raiser. As he exits hyperspace he can feel the presence of his Master and another, it was Darth Snack another one of Master Ogre's apprentices. The Hell Raiser slowly lands on the planets surface next to Snack's x-wing. Phantom lowers the rear loading ramp and exits the ship with only his lightsaber. Phantom stops a moment and takes in his surroundings before facing his Master. Phantom bows to his Master and nods to Snack ::

Greetings my Master

Ogre remained still and silent looking off into the distance at the city, obscured from sight by the fog and the distance. He acknowledged Snack and Phantom’s arrivals with but a slight nod. There were still two others they would wait for, before he would tell them why they had been summoned here to this world.

A dark figure scuttles out from the nearby city and into the fog. The figure pauses and gazes back at the city with a tooth-filled grin. A scream comes from the city, and an air of satisfaction settles about the figure.

Hob settles his grimy backpack over his shoulders and takes off low across the ground. He hits the forest edge and leaps into the trees, swinging along in impressive arcs.

Not long afterwords, he emerges from the forest and comes to stand in front of Ogre. He grins again and bows.

After receiving the message from Ogre and having navigated her way successfully to Talasea with the onboard GalacMap, Hera skillfully landed the Paylode at an elevated plateau a distance from the main Port of the city. The thick mists that enveloped everything dulled the everyday sounds of the place somewhat, but had not obscured the tracking of the Dauntless'location.

Before exiting from her craft, she admonished the droid co-pilot not to leave the ship. Hera was not familiar at all with this place and did not want her droid waylayed. Grabbing a small napsak containing water, and dried food ration bars-as according to Ogres message, this could be a long session and Hera had no idea where they were headed. Everything else she needed, she carried on her person as was a matter of course.

The easily identifyable figure of her Master, Ogre Mal Pannis was the first thing Hera focused upon as she left her ship and made her way over to where the small group stood. Three others she had not met before...one a hobbled fellow whos appearance was immediately curious to her.

Bowing formally, Hera greeted them all and addressed Ogre, "Hello Master. I hope I did not keep you waiting."

Ogre’s gaze shifts from the city in the distance as the last of his apprentices arrive. His cold green eyes scan each of them over slowly and then move once again to the city off in the distance, which from his connection to the Darkside he could tell, Hob had already visited before arrival.

One of his arms raised from his side and he pointed towards the populated area in the distance. Preliminary data had told Ogre that approximately twenty thousand civilians, all under supposed New Republic protection, populated the city. It sat on a small island separate from the landmass the five Sith were currently occupying.

“I want that city, completely lifeless and leveled, within forty eight hours time. Leave no heart beating and no building intact. You may only use your skills to cross the channel to get there. I forbid the use of star craft, but condone the use of any other means at your disposal to carry out my wishes.”

Ogre looked to each of his Disciple’s faces, wondering if there would be questions, while he considered his own motivation for having them do such a deed as planetary Genocide. That was a simple answer, to further their oneness with the dark and to forge fear into any who would hear tale of what may have happened here from any possible escapees or space bound observers.

:: Phantom smiled at his Master's wishes. He bowed slightly to his master and looked at the others::

As you wish my Master

:: Phantom walks over to the edge of the channel, he closes his eyes and begins to levitate, he floats high into the air and over the channel with his cloak fluttering in the wind behind him. He touchs down on the ground and opens his eyes, he smiles slightly thinking about carnage and pain he will inflict. He slowly enters the city taking in his surroundings. He unclips his saber and ignites it cutting a near by person in half ::

It has begun...

~ Genocide has been commanded, and so mote it be.~ Hob cackles mentally.

While Phantom is levitating himself across the channel, Hob reaches out with his mind, seizing control of the twisted and scarred presence that Hob coerced into bringing him to this planet and forcing it to impale itself upon a throttle stick.

The dwarf grins at his fellow apprentices, then hurls himself high into the air, the Force augmenting his strength and carrying him across the channel in a single leap.

Hob then crawls into a sewer covering and begins navigating the dark passageways.

*Snack nods to Ogre after being briefed about the mission. No questions entered his mind: it was a simple order to destroy a city. With the four Sith, it would be possible.

He watched as Phantom levitated across the channel and as a new face, Hobgoblin, Snack figured, jump clear across it. He chuckled to himself. Showy Snack walked towards the channel, and stepped into its waters. He figured save his Force power, and keep himself in shape at the same time seems like a good idea.

Stepping in deeper, he began to swim across, pacing himself as to not tire out too early.

When he reached the other side, he stepped from the water, his cloak and clothes dripping a puddle at his feet. He withdrew his dual blade saber from within his cloak, and ignited both Orange Blade. Snack entered the city, catching a fleeing peasent by the throat in his left hand. His grip tightened on the neck, until he heard a crackling sound and the body go lifeless.*

Hera watched as her 3 fellow apprentices launch off in zeal to the task set before them. Surprised a little that had none asked anything about the city itself.

Turning to Ogre, Hera asked "I know nothing of this place. Are its inhabitants force-sensititve? Is there some uniqueness to Talasea we may need to be aware of that could help or hinder our objective- such as geographic anomolies and the like? Any information you feel you want to give me, I would like to have.

Also, is it your intention Master we work together or do you want to see which apprentice manages to come out of this total annihilation on their own...?

Oh...and can I pillage a little while Im at it?"

Hera waits for his reply, while in the back of her mind she plans her intent to abscond with a fast vessel moored along the channel shore - she too, like Snack, feels no need to expend her energy unnecessarily. Besides...she isnt in the mood to get soaked through.


OOC: Hey guys, I wont be back till this time tomorrow nite, so sorry if I slow this down too much. just go ahead and I will fit in where I can.

THE CITY OF TALAS

The island that the lone city of this world of Talesea was fairly circular in geography, approximately three miles in breadth, with residences scattered around the outskirts of the island, near the shore, and the main part of it concentrated in the center. Tall, splendorous spires, and buildings of a technologically advanced culture, cluttered the skyline as they reached up towards the clouds, where the fog and mist was even thicker.

The streets seemed to be teeming with hustle and bustle at the center of town, while on the fringes of the city life was a little quieter. Not so many people walking the streets between the semi modest homes of the working class families that resided here.

Phantom and Snack both arrived at the South side of the town, among the sparse in concentration dwellings, each on a different path or roadway. Their arrival sent the few people that noticed them, scattering and fleeing the scene in terror at the arrival of strangely clad men with weaponry. Just as the dead bodies hit the ground, a siren could be heard sounding in the distance.

Hob had made his arrival unnoticed, and quickly gone into the sewers, seemingly with some type of plan and intent. As he navigated through the smelly and filthy plumbing beneath the city, the walls of the tunnel he was in began to tremble and shake, a loud rumble quickly building in volume. The sewers were undergoing their monthly flushing tons of sea water was forced through the system at high velocity.

THE LANDING SITE


Questions were not unexpected, but to see only one of his four Apprentices asking them was a surprise. Turning to Hera as she posed her queries, Ogre let her finish asking and grinned with a hint of pride in his eyes. Information was power and knowing as much as possible about any task that lie ahead was smart practice, though the thrill of the slaughter was hard to control for some and obedience blinded others.

Ogre’s voice came, smooth but deep in tone, a relaxed feel in its cadence. “The people here are not force sensitive, though they do have blaster, disruptor, and pulse type weaponry, along with hordes of armed security droids. No official military per say, but a reasonably large police type force. Geological anomalies are non-present, beside what your eyes show you. If there is anything you wish to pillage, you are free to do so, just keep in mind the time duration I have requested on this matter.”

Ogre had specifically given them this time frame, knowing that it would take the nearest stationed NR fleet detachment at least that long to respond to any distress calls from this world, making them arrive too late, if they were to get word. Arrive on a planet devoid of the civilization they had claimed to protect.

:: Phantom barges into one of the houses, The father of the family not yet at work turns and leaps toward him, Phantom cuts the man down in mid air, as the rest of the family comes to see what has happened, all they find is a granade, they can't even let out a scream before it goes off killing everyone in the small house.

Phantom rises into the air and moves onto a near by roof where he looks around. trying to find some sort of resistance. Seeing none he walks to the center of the town, with in a few seconds he decapitated five people. In the distance he hears the siren, he smiles in hope that someone will try and stop him ::

Though Hobgoblin seemed possibly the weakest of the four because of his lack of stature, he made up for that in several other ways. His mind was exceptionally bright, his body was adept at fitting into tight spaces, he had a talent for sneaking, his small body could propell itself with great speed, and perhaps most of all, his greatest ability with the Force was having clairvoyance. Thus it was that Hob had arrived on the planet several days before the other apprentices due to his lack of personal transportation.

He had spent the time idly playing games with a few of the more easily spooked inhabitants, and thus had some idea as to what happened when, and where everything was. Where it was, and how it could be gotten into.

The sewer tunnels branched this way and that, and Hob picked ones he knew would lead him to where he wanted to go, just barely edging out a rushing tide. He leapt from pipe to floor to the opposire sewer wall, using his skill with the Force to keep him one step ahead

It wasn't long before Hob hit a larger sewer line that was obviously well-maintained. He followed it until he found large security force fields that had been turned off for the flushing of the sewers.

Just inside the fields was a vent that Hob was seeking. The vent ripped itself off the wall while Hob was still ten meters away.

The water suddenly caught up with him, but Hob was not dismayed. He rode the current, grabbing hold of a pipe in the ceiling and arcing upwards into the vent. Below him, a multi-tentacled creature sped by.

With his faith in his own powers reaffirmed, Hob began climbing the vent, moving through the network of tunnels and avoiding various security measures. Eventually, the dwarf poked his head out into one of the empty hallways of Talas' main power plant.

Hera listened carefully to Ogre's description of the city. Her desire to grow in the power of the darkside being inspired by her master and the eagerness of the other apprentices to wreak chaos.


48hours to obliterate this place..

She bowed and left to begin the mission without another word.

Heading thru the thick fog down to the waterfront, she came upon a rather large vessel, an old man beside it tying anchorlines to the warf. The Sith walk silently up to stand beside him as he crouched. "This boat belong to you, old man?"

Still working with the ropes, "yep. Why?"

H: "I want you to take me across the channel."

The old man straightend a tired old back, at first thinking this woman was surely joking - but upon looking at Hera clearly for the first time, her manner gave him the distinct impression she wasnt "asking" and he would be wise to oblige.

Nervously, he unwound the lines and the two boarded the craft.

During the crossing, Hera took the liberty of taking a look at the boat's map of the sealanes and island where Talas was situated. She plied the old captain with questions, adding to her perspective of the city. "What is this mountain at the west end of the island, on the edge of the bay?"

Glad to have someone to talk to for once, and one who seemed interested in his homeland, the old man volunteered much information. "That mountain is the "Horn of Plenty". It is infact an old volcano that has been sealed. It was emitting Hydron Gas and the founding fathers of the city years ago sealed off the top outlet of the volcano and built underground pipelines so the Hydron gas could be used to power the entire island of Talas. Ingenious really."

Hera responded thoughtfully..."yes...ingenious"

Looking over the map, she located the main powerplant, located in the eastern side, in the heart of the city. "perfect" she mused to herself "two detonations in the right places..." She directed the old man to dock on the east side of the island. He was expressing how much he "had enjoyed the company on such a dark misted nite. That tomorrow they would probably see some stormy weather...the mists were usually followed by wild winds in these parts..hoped his boat business would not be hampered..." The last thing he heard was Hera's whisper behind him in his ear, "dont fret for tomorrow, old man" and her dagger sliced cleanly across his throat.

The sirens wailed across the city and Hera smirked, the evil wave of violence and murder unleashed by Phantom and Snack generated fear and strengthed the four in darkness. Hera quietly broke the lock on a service entrance door of the power plant, careful to avoid detection. She wanted to see the network of pipes that stretched beneath the city up to the underground gas outlet at the Horn Of Plenty base. Upon entrance, she sensed another Force user close by-one of the others had a plan too it seemed- and reached out with her mind to make contact...

*Snack continued to make his way deeper into the city, walking with authority. Force pushing nativeshard into the builds, to his left caused the old stone structures to crumble at the base. Seeing this, he stepped to his right across the street, slicing those who stood in his way with his spinning dual blade.

He stood in wait as a wave of about twenty fleeing residents ran down the street towards Snack. He concentrated on the Force, gathering it in his left hand. He flet the invisible energy move about his hand as he thrust it outwards, sending a Force Blast in the direction of the people. Snack sent five of those blast, sending four of the the screaming cowards flying into the one of the stone buildings. Their impacts hard enough, causing the old siding to crumble. The last wave Snack sent threw the flying objects through the building, knocking out the main side beam which was holding up the interior of the building.

Snack took a breath to send some air flowing through him, to regenerate any lost stamina from his attack. He began to walk away, hearing the crumbling and boom as the old building fell in onitself.*

Just after Hera left, Ogre began walking for the channel, not acquiring a transport to navigate the channel. He merely stepped out on the water and began to walk across, as if the water were solid under his feet. Once on the island he began chanting in a foreign tongue, reaching into his pouch and clutching some small items within his clawed hand. After a few moments his visible form faded from the natural spectrum and he shifted to occupy the ethereal plane, moving more quickly and easily as he kept tabs on the ones he had sent to do his bidding.

He could see the carnage left in Snack and Phantom’s wake with his own eyes, and even occasionally caught sight of what looked to be a tormented soul or two passing through the plane he inhabited while on route to their final resting places.

As Phantom stood atop the building and surveyed his surroundings, he noticed that the streets were all but clear of civilians. Screams of terror were replaced by a heavy rumbling metallic sound, the alarms in the distance still blaring loudly, but not enough to cover the sound of what was approaching.

Before he knew what was happening, he found his position under heavy blaster fire. It was coming from all directions as he swung his saber to and fro to block all the blasts. Moving into such a visible position hadn’t been such a great idea and the blaster bolt that ripped through his leg proved that to him. There were far too many to block and he had to get down from his perch. While continuing to block as many of the bolts as possible, he made out the source of one set of fire, a shielded Destroyer droid. It was painfully apparent there were many more besides the one he saw.

Snack came under fire as well, but not as badly as Phantom had. He had the cover of the buildings to use to his advantage as scores of droids set up and began to open fire on his position.

Meanwhile, in the power plant, an alarm sounded. It seemed that an intruder alarm had been triggered and countermeasures were about to be taken in an attempt to safeguard the city’s only power facility. Force fields shot up at every entryway, the lights changing from a standard incandescent to one of reddish hue, automatic defense turrets popping out from bunkered positions within the walls scanning for signs of intruders.

1.5 hours tanspired, 46.5 remain

:: As Phantom fell to the ground he rolled to the edge of the building, he cut a small hole in the roof and dropped a thermal detonator in it. He used the force to make the illusion that he had been shot and feel from the roof. As the droids come to inspect his body, Phantom leaps from the roof to another, he rolls to avoid landing on his injured leg. By the time the droids find out that its not real the bomb goes off, killing more than half.

He uses a piece of his cloak to stop the bleeding, it didn't hurt all that much, he had had worse. Phantom crawls on the roof top to avoid detection. He looks to the ground and smiled, the day before it must have rained hard, because there are puddles every where. He grabs a power conduit from the house that had just blown up with the force and puts it in the puddle, to power short circuits their shields making them easy to kill. Phantom jumps from the roof top slicing one in half, as they begin to fire he uses his saber to bounce there bolts back to there senders.

Phantom smiled he had got his wish. Phantom uses the force to cloak himself from everyone, he raises himself into the air and heads for the islands weapons depot ::

The sirens blaring out caused Hob to pause in his act of leaving the vent system. He pulled himself back inside the vent and shut it closed. After backing down the tunnel a small ways, Hob sat down to meditate.

Dark mists began to swirl inside Hob's mind, then they left it.

With Hob existing as a free-floating spirit, he became more aware of the area around him. He picked up on something that he hadn't previously been aware of. Someone was trying to contact him. One of the other apprentices, Hob surmised, unless whoever it was could disguise themselves better than Hob could sense.

Hob followed the mental communication trail back to its source, which turned out to be the female apprentice who had arrived last. Hob's image appeared in front of her, flickering indistinctly like a fuzzy hologram.

This was a newly acquired power, and like all powers, took time Hob did not currently have to master. He wished that Ogre's summons had not come so close on the heels of his practice on Tatooine.

Back in the present, Hob's Force presence oriented itself next to Hera's position, attempting to discern the layout of the area by following the energy conduits. He eventually found an area that seemed to have a lot of energy flowing to and around it,

The image gestured towards a security door to Hera's right, then stepped to the keypad next to the door. An electrical surge occurred as Hob's illusory hand touched the keypad and the door shuddered open. There was a hallway beyond the door, leading deeper inside the plant.

Sparks continued until the keypad was ruined. Hob gestured again towards the hallway, then his image faded out.

Back in the vent, Hob breathed heavily. Even so small a contact had taken much of his energy. He needed to rest for a few minutes before he could continue through the vent system.

And speaking of the system, there would doubtless be guard weapons and cleaning droids inside the vent. The alert had to be silenced or Hob would have more trouble than he could handle.

Hob moved to stand, then fell back into a sitting position. Too much energy, too quickly spent had drained him. He needed rest.

The dwarf extended his senses to keep watch for danger while he gathered strength inside the vent.

::Hera had moved through the empty corridors of the plant, coming eventully to the main office section. Upon her entry to that room alarms and lights flashed immediately, having tripped the main alarms. She would have to find what she needed quickly.

Rummaging through drawers and files and large flat stacks of plans, she found what she needed. She scanned it carefully, calmly focusing on understanding the layout and shutting out the urgent and annoying screeching of the bells.

Hob listened and waited in his vent hideaway to see what developed.

Seeing that the network of pipes ran under the city and along part of the ocean floor, as she had guessed they would have to, Hera was satisfied. Returing the plans to where they were, she stood and waited for the authorities to arrive.

A detachment of 4 armed men and a destroyer droid burst in through the door of the room where Hera was-blasters levelled-and commanded her to move slowly and hand over her weapons. Hera did this, all except her lightsaber which she had tucked in the leather band of her forearm where it went unnoticed. Allowing herself to be apprehended (the time for destruction was soon, but not yet) and bundled into the waiting transport. Arrested as a theif or industrial sneak -they had no idea of her true purpose- she was taken to the city stockade.
Leaving the power plant once again quiet and empty...almost empty.

She was escorted through the main entrance of the building, and tossed into a detention cell for the time being. As she looked over her confines and ran her hand along the sealed door, she thought to herself, "first stop, the armoury" ::

*Taking cover behind the corner of a building, Snack thought his next plan through. The droids fire was unstopping, as he saw red laser blasts fly through the air just missing the corner of the building he took shelter. The blaster bolts which did connect with the side of the building spewd stone and concrete with each impact. Doing my job for me, good enough.

Snack smirked as he heard the metalic clang of the droids, walking towards where Snack wait in lay. He sensed that there were far too many droids to take on by himself. Quickly, Snack unhinged his dual-blade, still ignited. A double bladed lightsaber, a great defensive weapon when fighting two or more people with lightsabers, wasn't all that great for blocking blaster fire. Closing his eyes, he could see the driods fire at the building, in hopes that the bolts would go through and it their target on the other side. Letting the Force take over, Snack edged to the corner. He then sent out both of his blades, controlling them through the Force. The droids see this and starting firing at the two ghost blades. Deflecting some bolts back, they connected with thier sender, or even a passer byer running in fear. The thud of falling droids filled Snack's head more than the siren. He knew he made a dent in the protective line of defense which was still in hot persuit after him, but he was still outnumbered.

Calling back his two sabers, he caught them, then turned high-tailed down the street. Running without aid of the Force, Snack rounded another corner. This lead him into the center of the city. Dammit, this won't do me any good, running from them. If I could just get an opening, I could summon the winds... Snack thought to himself as he saw droids in front walking towards him, as well as from behind him.*

:: Phantom stops in his tracks, he closes his eyes and uses the force to talk to all the other apprentices ::

We need to work together to get this done in time. We each will take 1/4 of the island and destroy it.

:: Phantom lands on the roof top acrossed from the weapons depot, he gets on his stomach and crawls to the edge to check it out ::


Ok I'm at the weapons depot on the southern end

Phantom spied the weapons depot before him. There appeared to be a single phasic shield around the entire facility as a continuous line of various type droids, marched in a single file line, coming out of the armory and entering the streets forming patrols. The shield appeared to let them pass from the inside out, making the depot look almost impenetrateable. Besides the shield, there were huge droids standing at each corner with personal shields and monstrous blaster rifles, and a turret on the top of the building. This would not be an easy target.

Inside the vents of the main power facility, small flying droids buzzed around, in search of possible intruders. One droid sighted Hob and immediately transmitted location information to the main security office, as per protocol, before it proceeded to move closer, activating its stun blasts, not wanting to damage the ventilation system with standard blaster type rounds.

A transmission came into the cities stockade. The assaulters of the city had been spotted using lightsabers and it was feared they were Force users. Immediately the tending guard ordered that their prisoner’s detention cell, have the force fields activated as he placed a communication to the local research facility and requested that a live Ysamlamari be brought down at once.

The droids approaching Snack didn’t open fire, apparently bright enough not to end up being set up to fire on themselves. The platoon making the approach from the rear stopped, while those coming from the front continued, their blasters humming just loud enough it could be heard over the sounding alarms.

The city streets were now completely devoid of any human life. All that could be seen as far as one could see were scores of armed droids patrolling and surveying the scene.

Ogre continued to work his way to the center of town while inhabiting the Ethereal plane, his anchor back to the prime material plane, still lying in the grass back where he had first met his disciples, a small wooden twig, which looked no different than any of the other scattered greenery, except for the fact that it came from Ogre’s pouch, instead of this planet’s natural fauna.

11 civilian kills, 19,989 remain

looks at the droides chaseing Darth Snack some yards behinde him, Majinafa looks out from the shadows and pulls the man into a ally 2 feet wide and 6 feet high air duct, and covers up his mouth as the droides run by searching for the man....Majinafa lays there with the man while the droide stop outside the airduct...then runs by wtihout thought of looking in one droid stops to inspect the air duck by just sees darkness then walks away....majinafa looks at Darth and points at the hatch....Darth Opens it and a small of oldness and musty smell fills the area...Darth looks at him "Who are you...a bounty hunter?".."Darth get in and ill tell you whn the time is right" they both crawl in

:: Pressing her one hand against the steel door, Hera prepared to slice thru the far edge to trigger the open/shut mechanism with her lightsaber, when she felt a jolt of power screen completely across it.

The force of the feilds energy threw her backwards and she landed heavily against the far wall.

She cussed loudly, and jumped up high, smashing the security lens in the top corner to smithereens with her fist angrily. Thinking what spurred the increased precautions would probably be the violence unleashed upon the city by the other apprentices. As far as the locals were concerned, she was a scum criminal, no larger threat. And just as she thought of the apprentices, a faint tugging at her mind came through from Phantom. Hera sent one word loud, clear. "West"

Deciding that the time for a lower profile was over with, Hera began to focus her powers upward toward the hole where she had destroyed the security-eye. The metal began to buckle and slowly start to tear away, when suddenly all action stopped. Her power seemed to not only be ineffectual, but not even there. It was like she was bound and tied from the inside out.

The reason could only mean one thing. She had never been exposed to such a creature before, but she recognised the inhibiting effects from it. ""Ysamlamari"

Hera flew into an absoulte rage. She screached and yelled and threw the cot around the room. She took her lightsaber and continued attacking the metal above her with it, causing a gaping hole to be formed. She stretched her arm up and grabbed hold of some wires that snaked through it. Pulling down hard, she had no idea what damage it would cause, and didnt care.

She pulled herself with effort, up and into the small tunnel and crawled along it to a service screen. Pulling it open quietly she looked into a darkened hallway (apparently she had yanked the light wiring out). As her eyes adjusted she could see people were running about as if under seige. The alarm was sounding and armed men/droids were everywhere-all exiting armed from a room at the end of the hall.

Hera waited, then slipped noislessly out into the dark corridor.. ::

they both enter a small corridor that seemed to be dark and quite ery, Maj looked at Darth with a look of fear, as the droids filled the corridor all around them were droides..but luckerly they were hideing the lower airduck on the floor,Maj tilted his head and pressed his head up agaist the grate of the duct...he sees a woman..Raged as it may seem, crawl out from a shaft....Maj looked at the grate then looked a darth, "damn its titanuim molded on....were not getting out this way" he looks back the where the woman is and looked at her looking arund for a safe way to escape without beaing seen, "PSST" came a noice from the grate at the floor** the woman looks down to the genaral direction, looks around then runs to kneel where the grate is* "hey....can you get up outta here ma'am? "Maj reconized the face "HARA?"...aww nevermind can you get up outta this duct?".....the woman looks around thinking about it.....

The droid abruptly crashed into the duct's side wall, throwing its shots off. Suddenly, it was crushed by an invisible hand that smashed it utterly to pieces. Hob had known he would be found. It was only a matter of how quickly that took place.

Fortunately, he had had enough time to halfway recover from his strenuous usage of the Force earlier, and telekinesis was the best mastered of his powers.

The dwarf got to his feet and drew upon the chaos the others had created in the city. The chaos came with a message from the one called Phantom. Hob continued to imbibe the chaos and sent back a return message that consisted of Hob pointing towards the island's Eastern end.

The Darkness buoyed and sustained him, allowing him to continue on as though he had only been under mild strain. Hob's path took him through the vents as deep as he could go, crushing the occasional buzzing droid and staying hidden and staying one step ahead of the armored security drones that had been released into the vents.

Then Hob settled down, sensing his objective not far away.

The power plant's security chief was a strong-willed man. Too strong for Hob to take over.

But his subordinates were not all quite as strong.

Security Chief Wesson suddenly tripped.

This was not usual, especially not inside the central security area of the power plant. One of his aides went to help him, glancing curiously about. He went down to the ground as well, as though shoved.

Several blaster bolts suddenly shot out from the doorway. The two officers on the floor suddenly went still, and a third one went down.

Security central suddenly turned to stare at the guards by the doorway. "There was some little thing there!" he shouted.

"I see it!" one of the technicians shouted, pointing.

The guards by the door way spun around, firing where technician's finger pointed.

Indeed there was, although it was only seen for a moment before it scuttled behind a control bank. Unfortunately, several techinicians went down from stray blaster bolts.

The security officers continued their hunt for the elusive thing inside the room, never quite aware that it was only Hob's influence on their minds that made them see what was not there and shoot before aiming.

Edit: Making a few things more clear. Here's what I added.

:: He checks out the guards and the depots defences. He opens up his cloak and pulls out a small data map. He glances at it and smiles. He places the map back inside his cloak. He jumps off the building and begins to levatate, he floats back to his ship and gets a basketball sixed object. he floats back to the building he was on before, he sets the object down and sets the timer.

Phantom jumps from building to building until hes a click away. He walks down the barron streets slowly, he goes from house to house killing everyone in side. Several minutes later the EMP bomb goes off, killing all electronics with in a square mile, including the shiled and droids. Phantom begins running back to the depot ::

:: Hera moved down the corridor. Shouts drifted to her but they seemed to be far enough away...Hera thought to herself.."this is too easy"

She moved like a shadow into the armory room. The shelves had been left almost bereft of guns by the guards as they rearmed for the assult they were not ever certain where it was coming from. But it was not guns Hera required.

She moved quickly to the end of the room and, opened her napsak (she had been allowd to keep it as it only contained water and food bars) she quickly raided the thermal detonator storage.

She selected 3 Merr-Sonn Munitions Class-A Thermal Detonators - which have a 20 meter blast radius-2 she put in the napsak, one she set aside. 3 Merr-Sonn C-22 Fragmentation Grenade:
(This grenade's explosion fills a ten-meter-diameter with lethal shrapnel. Also has a timing device that can be set up to 2 minutes.)

and 2 Merr-Sonn Glop Grenades:
Glop Grenades use high pressure jets to spray an extremely strong adhesive foam over a ten-meter-diameter area, trapping anyone found in that area. The glop grenade can be set to explode on contact, or the timer may be used to select up to a fifteen-second delay. The grenade itself is reusable. All these went into the napsak.

She set the one Thermal detonator timer to 1 minute placing it in among the other stored bombs and proceeded to leave the room, grabing a BlasTech E-11 Blaster Rifle that lay overlooked under a table.

Just as she was leaving, a fresh detchment of soldiers were heading for the armory..."yep, like I thought - too easy"

Hera thrust out her hand to throw the fools back by the power of the force, but nothing happened...again. They had with them that abominable creature and were getting close. She was tired of this delay.

Slinging her napsak over her back , igniting her saber and blasting with the rifle she charged. Instantly the men pulled their weapons up to shoot but Hera had the advantage of surprise. She mowed down 3 of them before they even could see her properly. Deflecting the blasts of their attack she continued to move forward...the seconds were ticking by...She had been hit in her upper shoulder but the adreneline of battle she did not think it was so bad.
She cut around a corner and it opened up into a large area filled with soldiers. Hera realised it was where she came in. Ducking behind a pillar she retreived a Shrapnel grenade and tossed it into the middle of the room. The blast eruppted and expelled its contents in bloody violence, as she shot the blaster behind to keep the pursuers at bay.

In the confusion of the shrapnel bombing, with agility and speed, Hera seized the opportunity and made good her escape out the door, just as the Thermal Detonator in the armory went off and the whole building went up in a massive flaming blast.

Scuttling along the rooftops, of the city buildings , aided by her force strength that finally had been returned, Hera headed west toward the Bay. Probing as she went with her mind, trying to locate the other apprentices positions. She felt blood warm and sticky on her arm and realised she needed to stop somewhere and tend the wound. She pressed on.

:: As Phantom nears the Depot he manipulates the weather into bringing more fog in, as the fog engulfs everything making it nearly impossible to see, Phantom uses the force to guide him. He Enters the Depot quietly, he enters a small room off to his right, he opens the door and three laser bolts ring out from behind a turned over desk. Phantom blocks the three shots, he walks over to the desk and cuts it down the center

As Phantom leaves the room he can hear the mans head hit the floor. Phantom looks down the hall and sees more human guards, he reaches into his cloak and throws two flash grenades, blinding the guards, Phantom makes his move, separating their upper and lower halves of their body.

Phantom makes his way to the explosives room, he takes several thermal detonators, he rigs the rest of the room to explode. He takes off toward the weapons room ::

Turning on his Heat sencer goggles he sees phantom, running out of the depots room.

"what in the hell is her doing here for?"

Jash desices to look in the room he left from, 3,2,1 the force from the explosion hit jash through a pain of glass falling hard onto a steel floor, Jash lifts himself from the rubble injured and decides to chase the phantom, running out of the smoke filled room...

Running down the corridor he lost track of the phantoms body heat because of the flames, if he took the goggles of he coudent see through the smoke, if he took the helmet off for more visibilty he couldent breath due to Jash beaing a non-Oxigen breather, if he turned on his night vision it was to bright, the thermal heat from the fire blinded his view, then he saw a shimmer and he knew it was a person from the themal..he descides to take chase..

"Got ya" he said raceing down the hall...

OOC: er.. sorry i haven't posted in a while, continue like i have... I've been having some computer problems for a the past three days or so.. like, it's crashing evertime i start it. *shrugs* Ogre, i need to talk with you sometime if i'm on and ur on.

As the fog increased as a result of Phantoms efforts, Hera approached the outskirts of the city limits. It is dark and the streets are quiet.

She came upon a deserted factory building and sliped into its dark interior. Finding a small alcove in an upper level, surrounded by old equipment and crates, she found a small hidden place and sat.

Examining her arm, which she had stopped to cauterize earlier to stop the bleeding, "what a botchjob" she said unemotionally. Her arm was filled with a sharp aching pain and Hera drew on that pain to feed her inner self. She took out some water from her pack and drank deeply. She had much yet to do to accomplish her plan and her strength was needed. What she intended required her to reach deep into the darkside, harness is violence and project it to her will.
Deciding she would contact the other Apprentices once she had completed this next vital step, Hera sank back against the cold hard brick wall of the factory.

She slowed her breathing to an imperceptible level. Her eyes faded from their brilliant blue to a deep coal grey and they had no light in them.
Her mind she enveloped in images of hatred, agression, anger. She saw Jedi that she had crossed in the past, she saw their nobleness, their purity, their peace, and despised them. She saw the nations that had succombed to their dogma. She saw the bowing to the light of the masses and the anger swelled in her. She remembered agony and pain inflicted on her in battle of the light-wielders. She tapped into every rememberence and hatred of the Jedi and their allies. She harnessed the fear that was smothering the town like a blanket from the attacks of the sith so far. She locked onto their urges to bring violence and retribution on those that set their city alight. Shethought of the teachings of her Master-his rage and power and the wounds of fights she had had in the past. And Heras power increased. The dark force a raging torrent inside her body.

And still she stayed, still she grew in power.

*Snack stood there, watching the incoming droids infront of him. He heard their blasters charging and knew they would be firing upon him soon. The ones from his back had stopped, not charging their weapons; not advancing.

The Sith turned himself so he could watch both groups of driods at the same time. Slowly he took a few steps towards the "inactive" droids. He wasn't sure what to do, but hopefully these droids would fire upon him soon. he had a plan.*

His Ethereal presence navigates through the city. There are now several buildings burning and several others destroyed. The town’s security forces are taxed to the limit spread all over the town trying to deal with the individual threats to their solace and peace. They had not been prepared for such an indirect and non-conglomerated set of attacks.

The terror in the air filled Ogre’s soul with more and more power, as he fed off the fear and agony of those who were slain and dying, or just in fear of what might be coming for them next. Broadcasts swept through the town, informing people to arm themselves and not leave their homes.

The droids stalking Snack did just as he hoped they would and opened fire, while throughout the rest of the city, the other apprentices met and defeated their obstacles.

Inside the power plant's main security room, death and choas ruled. Now, only seven people remained in the room, five of whom were convinced that something was in there with them.

"Call in reinforcements!" one of the guards shouted.

Two of the remaining guards got on their commlinks and put in calls, one to the power plant security and one to the local police.

A living security tech also put in a request for combat droid backup.

Inside the vent, Hob was busy projecting his illusions into the security room when he felt a twinge in the Force. The whispering mental shadow that had been Hob's tool scuttled behind a computer bank and paused.

Abruptly, Hob was attacked from behind. The dwarf barely had time to ready himself. He opened his eyes and caught sight of his attacker- an armored combat drone from the power plant's security.

The drone fired twice and shot Hob through the shoulder. Regaining hold of his senses, Hob used a bit of telekinesis to disorient the drone.

Unfortunately, his stamina was at a low ebb, he was wounded, and Hob's energy was spent. He could not draw on much help from the Force.

And the machine's stamina would not decrease as Hob's had.

The drone fired again, this time catching Hob in his right arm, which he'd hastily raised in defense of himself.

*The droids played into Snack's game. Still with his oranges sabers fully extended, The droids fired upon him; first the ones from the front, then the ones he was heading towards.

As the laser fire began, the blaster bolts were reflected back in any and all directions. Snack wasn't worried about mowing down the droids, for their fire could be used to against the city. The reflected bolts ricochetted off the builds and droids, blowing stone and metallic chunks on the ground. This, however, did not stop the onslaught of the droids. Their attacks became more fierce. Snack could not dodge and block all of the bolts, as two shot into his legs, one across his back, and one graqzing his left shoulder.

A voice came to Snack's head, Quit playing around, or you'll be dead, as the pain shot through his body. In a split second he dropped to his knees. He could feel the bruning sensation where he was shot: not a good feeling. If you hesitate, you're done for, the voice said. Concentrating on the Force, Snack leaped into the sky, landing on one fo the near by roofs of a building. He now lay on his back, enraged at letting them shoot him. The pain and hatred filled him, allowing Snack to dive deeping into the darkness. He saw red blaster bolts race through the sky as his eyes looked in the four directions. North South East West.*

Hob lowered his injured arm. As it dropped, thick, red blood began to drop from it onto the vent floor.

The drone charged Hob, firing. The dwarf leapt up and clung to the ceiling with all his limbs, but his right arm couldn't maintain its' hold and he lurched downward. Another shot hit Hob in the side as a result, and the dwarf tumbled to the vent's floor.

Hob focused on the droid, hating it, loathing it, despising its' wretched existence. He would destroy it, tear it apart.

Inside the security room, the whispering mental shadow suddenly took shape. One of the guards inside the room stumbled onto it at that moment and he was shocked.

"It's a droid!" he shouted. "One of the security droids!"

The raging dwarf got to his feet inside the vent. The droid shot at him again, lethal blaster bolts arcing out at Hob, but Hob was already diving beneath them. His next leap sent him flying through the vent faster than the droid could re-aim, and he plowed into the machine, sending it flying.

"Look out!" the security guard shouted.

The image of the droid had filled out and became more detailed, more dangerous. Upon being spotted, it had fired several shots, which the guard had managed to dodge. Now it was flying backwards and up into the air.

The droid caught itself in mid-flight. Its targeting scope got a lock on Hob and it fired.

Two shots were fired, and both hit Hob in the chest. Pain seared his senses, and he dropped to the ground.

The guard fired three shots, which seemed to hit the droid but obviously didn't, because it also fired three shots and killed one of the remaining techs.

The droid then spun around and targeted the guard. Red death emerged from the defensive blaster cannons and waves of pain flooded through the security guard's chest.

"Shut down the security droids!" he screamed, then collapsed in a quivering heap. Around him, other people in the room also clutched their chests and fell to the ground.

A tech who had been cowering behind a computer bank in utter terror heard the scream. Slowly, and with a purpose he had not previously possessed, he stood up. The pain in his chest he ignored, his attention solely focussed on keying in the option for security droid shutdown at the main terminal.

Inside the vent, the droid charged Hob in order to get a better firing angle. Hob reached up and wedged his fingers inside the vent's roof. With a last gasp of strength, he ripped the vent roof down, tearing it from the vent casing and causing it to slam into the security droid. It was hit with great force and it spun wildly.

Then, it abruptly shut itself down and hit the vent floor.

Hob lay resting in the vent, his chest rising and falling shakily and his beard matted with blood.

Then a victorious rage filled him and he stood using all four limbs. His amble became a limp as he crawled over to the droid, then he slammed his good fist into the machine. A dent appeared in its' outer shell, and was joined by more dents as the droid was hammered over and over.

A single thought burned through Hob's mind.

' DESTROY.'

' DESTROY.'

The tech's face went slack and he picked up the gun from the fallen guard. Turning, he went around and shot each of the people in the room. They all had to be destroyed.

The tech then lifted his arms and began firing wildly throughout the room. Banks and panels showered sparks as their protective casings were burned through.

The main terminal detected the damage and sealed off the facility. Aside from the plant staff, several squads of police and support droids were trapped within the building.

Hob and the sole living security technician both lay down on the floor in their respective areas and shut their eyes. Hob sent his body into a restful trance and submerged his spirit into the death and turmoil surrounding the power plant.

The tech just lay there. His mind was gone, and he was no longer himself.

:: Phantom continues on his way, He uses the force to talk to him once more ::

If you continue to follow me I will kill you...

:: Phantom makes it to the main weapons hold, he sets the explosives near the weapons. He ignites his saber and cuts a hole in the wall, Phantom runs out of the building with the detonator in his hand ::

A deep sudden gasp broke the quiet of the dark as Hera snapped her conscious back to her immediate surroundings.

Her eyes lost that dead coal color and in its place they became a brilliant sky-blue, almost luminescent as the energy of the force surged like a torrent through her body. She felt stronger than she had ever before and felt the need to unleash violence and chaos almost intolerable in the need to withhold it for the time being.

Moving from her place, she saw the sun was beginning to set judging by the long shadows cast across the factory floor.

She scoured the compound for some discarded wire and found
something to use as a crude screwdriver, set to work on making some slight adjustments on her weaponry.

The pain, agony, and despair surrounding Ogre as he traversed the city, still navigating the Ethereal plane, grew so strong that it could be felt in both the prime material and the plane Ogre occupied. So thick that its presence could probably be felt light years away from the small and sparsely inhabited world, especially by a Force adapt. It was without a doubt, fueling the connection to the Darkside for all the Sith present.

Ogre was now in the center of the city, droids still scurrying around searching frantically for the antagonists of this conflict, seeking to perform their duty to safeguard the population, but thus far not faring as well as intended. Turning back in the direction from which he originally came, Ogre focused on the anchor he had left to the material plane, lifting the twig from the grass plain and propelling it towards himself with telekinesis, as his ghostly form stood next to the bodies of several slain Talseans. The blood pool at his feet, not touching his feet, even though it seemed he stood in it.

With an extended hand, he awaited the arrival of the anchor. There was something in the prime material plane he wished to do.

Moving silently throught the night, Hera made her way westward.

There were patrols around, but they were focusing more on the central part of the city where most of the damage was being inflicted.

Hera could feel the power of the darkside all around her. She saw this as both advantage and disadvantage. If she could feel it...other force users could also and would possibly be heading to Talas to intervene. The alarm, without a doubt, had been raised to the Rebel protective forces and time was of the essence.

She came to what she had been looking for - a sealed service grate within a cement hub. Taking her lightsaber, she sliced the edges cleanly and lifted the cover off. Replacing the cover behind her, she
made her way down the ladder-well and into the service tunnel.

After a long run, Hera came to the tunnel's end(or beginning, depending on your direction). She could tell she travelled long enough to be under the surface of the water now - the temperature was markedly colder.

She took 3 detonators, (2 thermal,1 fragmentation) having wired them together earlier and flicked the newly adjusted timer on - arming it. With utmost care she heated the outer coils of wire with her LS, till it was molten and then placed the bomb face-down onto the tunnel surface at the base of the connecter for the Hydron Gas entry. As the metal cooled and hardened again, the bomb was in place and could not be removed without triggering the explosion prematurely.


She now had 2 hours -less a few minutes - to make her way back to her position and complete the final stage of her plan.

Climbing out and resealing the service grate, she stopped dead still as she heard a voice behind her...

Inside the vent, Hob's blood-crusted right arm rose and and clenched into a fist.

The past two hours Hob had spent using his mind to twist fears and terrorize the inhabitants of the power plant. His body had rested, and as a result his injuries were reduced and somewhat healed.

The dwarf rose and began ambling out of the vent system using the quickest path available with his injured arm held close to his body. It had been Hob's main purpose for exploring the area with his mind while resting, and now he needed to use it.

A few minutes later, Hob poked his nose outside of the power plant and looked down. He was twenty stories up, but the architecture was of a flowing, buttressed style that Hob could climb down. He began the descent, managing to climb down two levels before giving up the idea of climbing. His arm was simply too bad to use for that type of wall-scaling right now. But if he could find a fire escape-

Hob looked about, discerning a single-user floating platform not far off. He wandered over to it and got on, staring at the controls with curiosity. With a cautious finger, Hob touched what appeared to be a control stick.

The platform jerked forward, away from the wall, then dropped several feet.

Hob almost lost his balance, but not quite. He grinned with the delight of a child who has found a new and interesting toy, then nudged the control stick again. The platform jerked downward again, and outwards as well. Hob poked and prodded it with his finger until he was at the ground level, some way beyond the power plant's inactive defenses.

When he was at the ground, Hob sent his mind out one last time.

"Central Security's right through this door!" Police Lieutenant Wesson shouted above claxons and alarms. "Looks like the access panel's been fried. Get me a cutting beam!"

Two police approached the door with a large device, which they mounted on an unfolded tripod. A green beam lanced into the heavy security door, spitting out sparks as it burned through the thick durasteel.

Lieutenant Wesson kicked the plate that had been cut out of the door with a big black boot, causing it to fall over. He and his men rushed in. The first thing they saw were dead bodies everywhere, faces contorted in terror and pain.

Then he saw the tech.

The man was standing at an auxiliary computer bank. His hands were resting lightly on the panel surface, his head, shoulders, and back were hunched over as though they were misshapen. His hands were very, very white. Wesson walked quickly over to the man and put a hand on his shoulder.

The tech didn't move, instead he just continued to stare at the computer screen from behind thick glasses. A grin was on his face.

Wesson lightly pushed the man and he fell to the ground, his mouth still frozen in a horrible rictus. The terminal's screen was now no longer obscured and Wesson could now see the message flashing in bold, red letters.

Warning! Core status: unstable. Fusion chamber temperature has reached critical. Main security failsafes are offline for repair. Auxiliary security failsafes have been damaged. Shield doors are not in place. Safety shields have been turned off.

Auxiliary power stations have been taken offline for repairs. Core explosion will result in citywide blackout.

Immediate evacuation suggested. Approximate time to explosion: 0:10 seconds.

Wesson's eyes widened and he grabbed for his commlink. He knew people were trapped down below by the meters thick security doors and wouldn't be able to get out in time, but perhaps he could order people to take cover.

A thin pallid hand reached up and grabbed his hand to stop him. Wesson stared down at the man, but all he could see was an intense hatred and madness burning in the eyes of the technician. The man's lips parted slightly, and Wesson found himself leaning close to hear his whispered words.

"destroy..."

At the island's eastern end the power plant exploded, showering fire and energy from all around it. The fireworks lit up the night sky, and several smaller substations exploded. The auxiliary power station not too far away found itself disconnected from the rest of the city as the work of the mind-warped technician began to manifest itself.

All over the city, the light was extinguished. Only places with backup power generators still retained any kind of power. Everything else was plunged into the total darkness of night.

And standing on a hill in front of the burning funeral pyre, a small figure could be seen dancing, shouting, and cackling with glee.

She turned around slowly and saw two patrolmen on speeders with there blasters levelled at her.

They both were taken aback by the visage of Hera. Her eyes still illuminated and burning with evil.


With a voice sounding more calm than he felt, the one man demanded to know what she was doing.

Heras response was to force call the two weapons to her. One of the men had his still stapped around his back and came forward off his speeder faling to the ground. The other spun into motion immediately and throttled forward and up to loop back toward the way he came. Hera shot the man at her feet with his companions gun and then trained it on the escaping patroller. Both her shots at him missed.

Stepping up on the dead mans back and settling herself on the other bike, she too sped off toward the east.

Not far along and seeing the other patroller up ahead she again trained the weapon on her target. Just before she shot, a huge explosion rocked the air and a massive flame shot up from the city limits. As the city was punged into darkness Hera knew that HobGoblin had made success. The darkness and destruction flooded over the area and the Sith Lord smiled with much satisfaction at the other apprentices work. They were all well on their way to completing the task set to them by Ogre.

With a chain reaction from Hobs explosion, Hera knew time was short - the concussive relay through the pipes would in all likelihood set her bomb off sooner. With this in mind, she accelerated the speeder and made for a high buttress in the distance.

Getting off the bike, Hera stood watching the red glow of the PowerPlant conflagaration and waited for low boom of her own bomb.

The twig that wasn’t of this world, flew to Ogre’s position, then abruptly stopped in mid air. It dangled there for a moment, as the plane shifted Sith Master looked down at the drain below. He smiled and cackled a sinister laugh as he began to sink into the ground, the suspended twig falling from its spot, down into the nearby drain, following Ogre on his journey below the city and into the ruins of an old underground dwelling of some kind.

The air was stale and dank, but Ogre didn’t even notice as he required no oxygen from the Prime Material plane in his current state. The only light, crept in from the grate of the drain above as he slipped through the very structure of the cracked drain pipe below it, the twig trailing along.

Once in the dwelling proper, Ogre guided the twig to his hand and his anchor to the Prime Material plane, made him solid once again. His nostrils filled with the stank and smelly air as he waked through the all but completely eroded and destroyed room, guided by something dark and sinister, which he sought.

He approached a decayed cabinet and tugged at the door’s handle. The door creaked and feel off the rusty hinge, revealing a small chest within, which appeared in much better condition that the rest of this place. Ogre’s three digited hand reached out and opened the chest, revealing a small talisman within. It was similar to the healing talisman, which he carried with him, but the symbols it bore were very different.

The smile on his face grew wider as he picked it up and examined it. “A Force Mask, created by my Sith ancestors, such a prize will undoubtedly be a valuable one.” He thought as he tucked it into his pouch, turning around and heading back towards the way in which he came.

He looked up at the cracked drain pipe overhead and realized that he was too weakened from his previous trip to the Ethereal Plane to leave the way he came, and drew his saber from under his cloak, igniting one end of it with a snap hiss. In a smooth, deliberate and fluid motion, he swung at the ceiling, making the crack in the drain much larger than it was, large enough for even him to climb through.

Once again on the surface of the island Ogre looked around and grinned at the destruction all around. He was proud of what his apprentices had accomplished thus far, and he began to make his way back to the point where they had first arrived on this world, knowing that his Disciples would not fail in dealing the death and destruction he deemed that they perform at his command.

:: As Phantom reaches a safe distance from the armory, he slowly presses the detonation button. Moments later the entire armory explodes in a brilliant light, killing hundreds in the surrounding areas.

Phantom runs down the now empty streets. AS he comes to a junction he sees a group of men, as he draws near, he sees that its a group of armed guards. Continuing to run towards them, they open fire. Laser bolts fly past Phantom body, he redirects one back to the shooter, hitting him in the upper body killing him, before the body hits the ground Phantom leaps into the air, landing behind the men, he does a downward slash, the first man is decapitated and it goes down from there.

With four men now dead. He throws the rest of the group back with the force, as they climb to their feet Phantom impales one through the chest. With only two left He uses the force to ram one's head into a house crushing his head, the other is cut in half with Phantom's saber ::

*One explosion after another ringed through the air. Snack was still on his back on the roof top, letting the pain he had in his body strengthen his Force powers.

The blaster fire of the droids stopped, as they searched the streets for Snack's where abouts. No distractions could be felt.

Snack situated himself on the roof, moving into a kneeling postion. His eyes closed and he began to concetrate. The South Area of the City would do nicely. The wind could be felt as a small breeze with waves of explosions and darkness. What the Sith was going to do, he has only done on a smaller scale. This moment, however, called for something worthy of mass destruction.

The Force swirled around Snack, entered him, flowed through him. The pain amplified the Force, as well as his growing hatred. Reaching out, Snack could feel the atmosphere; the currents of winds, temperature, pressure. He reached further out, letting the destruction of the city build his power. The source. Snack could feel the jet stream of the planet swirling high overhead. The high speed winds in the upper atmosphere which controlled the planet's climate sped at high speeds.

Snack focused on the current of air, manipulating the stream. He bent it, molding it in order to get a better feel of what he was doing and how to do it in the most efficient way possible. This sudden changed caused the sky to become cloud filled. The winds picked up as clouds were appearing. Manipulatiting and controlling the Force, Snack was able to gain a better control over the winds. Causing the air currents to move faster and more violently, the clouds began to turn a darker grey. They merged to form a giant thunderhead, the condesing of water molecules in the air causing the cloud to grow and strengthen. From the base, protruded a funnel like feature. The start of a tornado.*

The turmoil of explosion and force-manipulation of the elements had electrified the air about the city.

Hera basked in the destructive forces that swept the island of Talas. Looking to the North, she saw a Tornado rising as if from nowhere and noted the destruction it hurled about in its trail. Now it was her turn...and she was ready.


She felt the ground rumble- first once and then a second time. The sound was muted but she still heard the dull boom. For a moment, time seemed to pause.


As her detonation went off in the subterranean tunnel, it ignited the Hydron Gas causing a second, more intense explosion, shifting the ocean floor. The rupture of the ground was so violent it resulted in the creation of a massive backlash in the shape of a huge wall of water. Hera had been counting on this - in fact had placed her bomb strategically toward that end.

Standing on the outcrop, she stretched out her hands into the night and summoned all her force energy. Harnessing the winds to the west she stormed them about the waters' surface adding to the turmoil and the violence, causing the massive wave to grow even bigger and more devestating. Hera knew the elements were obeying her and was exhilirated as the Force moved as she directed it with such deadly power.


The wave rose up and over the Island from the West and like a fierce watery fist it slammed down with terrifying might onto the inhabitants and their dwellings. It swept away everyone and everything in its path. Buildings crumpled like houses of cards. The waters' momentum smashed and overwhelmed, drowned and blanketed all in a raging torrent.
Lives snuffed out like so many blinking candles under the deluge of water and darkness.

Hera, weakend from her exertion, but never so intune with the Darkside as right at this moment in time, clambered onto the speeder behind her and made her way toward the mainland and her Master.

The landscape behind her looking so very different than that which she had first looked upon on their arrival not quite 2 days prior.

Hob lifted his hands and shouted with glee at the funeral pyre that the power plant had become. The littlest and weakest had achieved so much today.

Now, he would seek his reward of power.

The tidal wave smashed into the island, spreading across the land and engulfing the pyre Hob had created. The power plant's ruins were swept through and much of them was carried away. As the water swept on, so too did Hob, borne by the current and swimming on his back to where he wished to go.

As he swam, he philosophized. The workers at the main power plant had lived productive lives, until one fateful day where the historians would record their snuffing out. To control destinies was truly a great thing.

The tide carried him onward, then deposited him on a hill. Hob watched as it continued and parted in a dome shape around a building. A flickering shield prevented the water from sweeping the building away as it had so much else.

There were still humans alive in the auxiliary power plant, but Hob would take care of that now.

Pulling the grimy sack off his back, Hob removed the artifact within.

The Book of Anger.

The pages flipped themselves to where Hob wanted them to be, and the dwarf set the book on the damp ground and began to chant. The book glowed dark red and steam rose from where it lay.

Then Hob stretched out with the Force and followed the energy currents within the building. It was much smaller than the main power plant, and the energy flow suggested that it was powered by two giant turbines that were connected to what was essentially a battery. This system was a physical one that Hob could manipulate much easier than the complex system of force fields and atomic fusion that he had been the center of the other power plant.

Hob continued to chant, then he began to dance around the book in a ritualistic fashion. The glow of the book began to burn stronger and darker.

Inside the power plant, the glow of the turbines increased as they sped up. Electricity began to spark between them, and from the battery as well.

Hob's voice began to rise to a crescendo, and then he uttered one last phrase.

" Cahellic calla, denadet afrada, Burn bright with energy and be not afraid, for the end of your days marks the start of my blaze!~

The turbines shuddered and spun impossibly fast, faster than they were ever meant to. The turbine to the right suddered off its' foundation and collapsed into the other one, knocking it down. The battery, supercharged and overloading beyond the ability of its' captors to control it, sent electric shocks throughout its' structure.

Outside the building, the protective force field died. Water washed in and electricity followed it and flowed out.

The auxiliary power plant suddenly exploded with a massive electric jolt, sending searing columns of lightning and energy throughout the nearby landscape. One giant column arced out from the center of the explosion and impacted on the hill where Hob and The Book of Anger were located.

The force of the shock swam through Hob, caressing his senses and awakening them to the raw fury of the energy.

Then the energy fed into the ground and was soaked up by The Book.

Hob's soul mingled with the energy he'd just been engulfed by and the Darkness that stained the island where so many had died in so short a time.

Some time later, Hob stirred. He picked himself up from where the shock of the energy had thrown him and collected the Book of Anger from where it lay undisturbed atop the hill to put it in his backpack.

Instead of the sullen, dark red it had glowed before the ritual, it was now glowing a bright, blinding red.

The Book had been energized.

Ogre stood near his ship, basking in the evil that permeated the very air of the land. He had not participated in dishing out the death and destruction, but he was responsible for it. Twenty thousand lives lost on this world, accomplished by his apprentices with several hours to spare. They had done his bidding flawlessly and now the act of Genocide was complete. The planet Talsea was now devoid of higher thinking life forms, and very little remained of the once thriving civilization’s city before him.

The smile on the green Sith Master’s face was unheralded in it breadth, as he surveyed the destruction committed by his command. The New Republic would definitely discover what had transpired here as well as the Jedi. Just the fact that so many lost their lives had probably caused enough of a disturbance in the Force to make them aware of what had transpired.

He continued to revel in the destruction, waiting by his ship, having found the item, which had made this world interesting to him in the first place. Ogre’s collection of ancient Sith artifacts was growing, and he had successfully tested the mettle of four of his apprentices. Now he awaited their return, so that he could see and feel their own elation at what they had accomplished.

:: Now levitating high above the clouds Phantom slowly floats his way to the river that he had crossed during the beginning of their trails. As he comes to the river he looks back and smiles, smiles at all the carnage and destruction that the four of them had caused. He floats over the channel and sets himself down by his Master. Upon landing he lowers himself to one knee ::

Master we have done your bidding...

The exhausted dwarf stows The Book of Anger in his sack and shoulders it again. He begins the trudge back to the meeting point with his ape-like, knuckle dragging method of walking.

His re-energization of the Book had been for a purpose. Though the dwarf had already read through it, he knew that the Book was of such a nature that it imparted some secrets directly into the mind of one reading it. Without power, without strength, with its' Dark energies at a low ebb from having tutored so many over the years, it had not been given fuel itself for a long time. Now, those secrets that had been previously dormant would no doubt reveal themselves during a second reading.

As he walked, Hob noticed that his right hand had stopped bleeding. No doubt it had been washed out by the salt water and then cauterized by the electric energy during the Book's energization.

In fact, there was now the beginnings of a permanent scar there. It appeared to stretch the length of one of the blood vessels in his arm, from mid-knuckle almost down to the elbow. It pulsed as Hob's right hand hit the ground during each stride.

After an hour or so of walking, Hob reached the channel across from the meeting point, which was now halfway filled due to the tidal wave. Hob strode into the water and swam beneath it, quickly reaching the other side.

As Hob emerged from the water, he wore a tooth-filled grin. He clambered up the channel's opposite side, soaked and dripping, but victorious.

The small could achieve much despite their size.

*The tornado which Snack conjured up did its purpose. In its short lived life, it destroyed most of the South End of the City of Talus, toppling buildings in its path.

Almost as quickly as it came, the winds died down as the tornado disappated form its path of destruction. The power of the destruction, death, the DarkSide grew in the Sith.

Snack stood slowly on the roof of the building, the pain from where he was shot multiple times lingering away. The pain served as power.

He jumped from the roof, rolling to a landing on the streets below. His exertion in his Force move, Force Wind, drained his energy greatly. He took his time in walking to the river, stepping into the waters, about to swim back to meet up with his master.*

Hera had arrived back a little before the other apprentices, but had stood off to look out across the water.

The city of Talas had been devestated. There were no more sirens..no more searchlights. There were no more explosions or weapons firing. There were no more voices crying out in outrage and anguish. Just the slow ebb of the elements as they began to subside in the darkness.

She turned and glanced at the giant outline of the Sith Master as he awaited their return. His solid confidence, that what he had commanded would be accomplished, was evident in his calm authorative stance. She sensed a satisfaction emanating from him that was not altogether based on their success alone. She felt certain, knowing Ogre as she did, that the leveling of this place was not just an excercise in the wrath and violence of the darkside. But more. Perhaps more than she and the others could fathom. True or not, she knew they had done what was called of them, and they were the stronger for it.

As she approached Ogre and Phantom, she saw the HobGoblin clambering along from the other direction...his one arm dragging the ground, the other shouldering his pack and she felt an extremely strong signature or sorts burned with it it...She took very close notice of that backpack.

Standing with the others, she awaited the arrival of Snack.

*The swim was longer than his first. Exhusted from the amount of Force Snack used in his Force winds, he took his time, pacing himself on his swim back to where the rest were gathered.

Snack emerged from the water, his cloak on body dripping. The water mixted in with the sweet on his brow, and caused the blood stains on his clothing from the blaster shots to smear the red streeks of blood on his cloak. He slowly walked to where Ogre and the other three apprentices were waiting, and dropped down to one knee, his head bowed. Snack was breathing heavily.*

Master, it is done.

He looks to all those gathered with pride and a beaming smile of satisfaction, making sure to meet each one’s eyes with his own so they can see how he feels about what they have done. “You have all performed extremely well, even better than I had expected.”

He drew a chronometer from his pouch and looked at the time. “The New Republic will most likely arrive in just under three hours time, and by then we will be long gone, leaving them to find the destruction left in our wake, with no immediate opportunity for them to make any reprisal. You are all dismissed to either leave or stay, the decision remains yours. Your power in the Dark arts is surely stronger with what you have achieved and now all your names will be whispered through the Universe as slaughters of thousands. For I intend to send the NR a message stating exactly who was responsible. Your loyalty and desire to fulfill my wishes will be remembered. Congratulations.”

20,000 Civilians dead. The Genocide of Talsea is done

Thank you, Master.

*Snack slowly stood up. He gazed at the other three apprentices, bowing his head slightly.

He then began to walk to his X-wing, knowing that he was not up to fighting any New Republic soldiers or Jedi for a while. Snack was to rest safely at the Empire's Headquarters.

As he sat in the only seat in his X-wing, Snack closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. He was exhausted, and deserved rest. His wounds would heal in due time.*

Hera bowed to Ogre and the others as she prepared to leave.

Heading to the Paylode she stopped breifly beside the dwarf and spoke. "If you require transport to return to Vjun, I can take you." And then continued on to enter her ship and power it up for departure.

Hob cackles to himself and follows Hera. ~ A ride would be much appreciated, lass. This old dwarf cannae walk from here to Vjun like he used to, especially not with his injuries.~

:: Looking to the others he nods in respect. With that Phantom cloaks his ship with a touch of a button. He looks at the others once more before launches himself into the air and across the river. Still in high in the air Phantom moves to the center of the city ::

The Paylode lifts and banks off left into the darkness, Hera coding in the navigation co-ordinates, the droid and the dwarf keeping their own thoughts of the others company.

Talasea is quickly left far behind them.

Ogre stood and took a final look at the ruins that were once the thriving city of Talas, then with a smirk, he snapped a tusk from his jaw and stuck it into the ground, marking this place as having been conquered by his whims. With the task complete he turned, boarded his ship and left the planet’s surface.
