We could send a response fleet to the shipyard to bolster it's defenses and investigate the attack. It was Mandalorians so they could go looking in the wrong direction and eyeball Mandalore. Which is just a hop skip away in the opposite direction of Dantooine. Where the real attackers are. That direction has more room for political play than military unless we go in guns blazing.
I think making it more political than military is fine with me - I don't really want to start a war with Mandalore when no one is really playing them right now, but also isn't not playing them. If that makes sense? Of course, that doesn't leave much for Bette or the Shadows to do.
