Benedict will be great at this, I don't doubt that. That said, this is a very predictable choice? I can see why Benedict is a good fit, and I can see why having a guaranteed audience for a less well known franchise is appealing, but it feels a little like they're playing it safe. I suppose I... find their lack of faith disturbing.
I had a similar reaction to Paul Rudd in Ant-Man, too. It's not a bad choice, just not a fantastically exciting one either, given the potential alternatives.
Fingers crossed they let him keep his accent, though. With so many of Marvel's non-American characters all tangled up with X-Men movie rights, they need to be taking every opportunity to sneak in some foreigners that they can get.
It's like that, and that's the way it is.
